ALHAJI SIKIRU Ashiru Balogun was born to the great Balogun ODUNUGA Dynasty of ijebu ode in 1947. His dad ( Pa. Busayo ashiru) popularly known as GBOGBOGBA E standby was the man of action and a strong pillar amongst the family. ALHAJI SIKIRU grew up in a large family that included his late senior brother, ALHAJI Balogun and his Junior sister late Mrs. Modinat Balogun. He attended Anglican modern school, Ijebu ode and later attended Muslim college ijebu ode for his second array education. He later joined his father’s transportation business and later established his transport business after the passing of his father.
ALHAJI SIKIRU balogun also established auto dealership becoming nw of the early importers of auto vehicles and used vehicle part from Europe. He also established Mercedes trucks parts to the likes of consolidate brewery now in Nigeria brewery and other mayor companies in Nigeria.
Family and Personal Life
ALHAJI SIKIRU BALOGUN was married to alhaja Mushirat Olawunmi Balogun and Alhaja Halimat Abiola Balogun. He is survived by eight highly successful children including Mrs. Bolanle Adebola (late), Mrs Olukayode Balogun, Mr. Olawale Balogun, Mr. Ayodeji Balogun. Mr. Olakitan Balogun, Mrs. Omotola Adigun, MS. Oluwabukanla Balogun, and Mr. Rilwan Balogun. He was the mogaji of the great horse rider until his death. He was also the Giwa Egbe Bobajolu age group of ijebu land and one of the founding member of NASFAT ijebu Divisiin in ijebu ode the first Vice chairman, and member of the council of Elders till his death. He was a philanthropist that torches and mentors many lives.
